The Therapeutic Benefits of The Celtic Wheel

The Celts viewed time as a flowing energy, circular like their art, and in service of the new life.

With each season brought change, and as one died, the energy of the next was born.

By introducing this theory into therapeutic environment, The Celtic Wheel (or Celtic Calendar) can be used as a guiding tool to promote both psychological and psychospiritual growth.

Spring

Your treatment begins by preparing the ground and addressing any psychological obstacles, supporting you to lay the seeds of change.

Summer

As your treatment progresses you start to notice new thoughts and behaviours, as these seeds grow into something exciting, challenging and new.

Autumn (Samhain)

With autumn brings the harvest, allowing you to take stock and identify legacy thoughts, experiences and behaviours that no longer serve you and can be let go.

Winter

After seasons of dedicated work, you welcome the Winter. It's a time to rest and allow your subconscious mind to settle. By doing so psychological changes can gestate and embed themselves into your psyche.

Spring

The new season brings new life, energy and potential. This is your chance to again review and reflect on your progress, this time nurturing any new seeds of potential growth.

To do this, Angela uses the Celtic Wheel as a clear anchor point as you reflect and grow.

From a basis of talk therapy, you may also explore mindfulness, meditation, somatic (body) awareness or art techniques - each allowing you to connect easier and more authentically with yourself and others.
